- Part of consultancy group advising Government on the restructuring of the ESI (Electricity Supply Industry) with specific focussing on pricing.
- Presented National Government and Cabinet with various analyses and pricing policy proposals.
- The development of a comprehensive cost of supply methodology for MTN’s main products namely; voice, data and SMS.
- Development of the new tariffs for City Power. (Tariffs to be implemented in June/July 2002)
- Member of the ESKOM pricing department with inputs into generation and transmission tariffs.
- Compilation of the business plan for the proposed Southern Cape Karoo RED (Regional Electricity Distributor).
- The analysis of and documentation of the revenue impact on ESKOM customers of the proposed ESKOM WET (Wholesale Electricity Tariff).
- Undertake a qualitative study on the impact of an ESI (Electricity Supply Industry) structure with RED’s on Spoornet.
- Complete a TOU (Time Of Use) tariff impact study for the total Tygerberg, Upington, Swaziland, Mozambique and other Munics.
- Compile a convincing business case for ESKOM’s Homeflex (TOU for residential) tariff leading to the introduction of this as an option.
- Develop pricing strategies for various municipalities such as; Beaufort West, Upington, Swaziland Electricity Board (SEB), Electricity De Mozambique (EDM), Sedgefield, etc
- Advise the NER on the implementation of the proposed ESKOM WET (Wholesale Electricity tariff).
- Effective recovery of an electricity energy management program, for the Cape Metropolitan Council in the; Mamre, Pella and Atlantis residential areas.
- Conducting of Field Trials for and on behalf of Actaris Industries in order to validate and verify the suitability of their products for supply into ESKOM on an ENC (ESKOM National Contract).
